Bamboo- Buddah's belly
I have Bambusa ventricosa 'kimmei'. It is a clumping bamboo. The shoots emerge green and turn yellow soon after with green stripes. When grown in a pot under dry conditions it becomes dwarfed with swollen internodes. In ground it grows straight, but new growth will revert to dwarfed when stressed in a pot. Max height is ~55' with ~2.3" diameter canes.
BambooWeb - Bambusa ventricosa 'Kimmei' - bamboo pictures This is the actual division.   This is the root ball when I took the division in May of this year.  This is my plant.  Let me know what you have to offer. I'd love an AEAE.  I can take other larger divisions for someone local, but will only ship smaller ones. Tristan |
