Mitchel:
Do you know how hardy is Pisang KloteK is? I would like to know so I 'd know what I am up against. I have a Double Mahoi which is a native of Hawaii and Joe Real said that I should protect it more than the others. I am wondering if I should give the same treatment as yours is.

It seems to be more cold tolerant then my reds, but that's not saying much. During the Arctic blast it lost all it's leaves just like all my other varieties so that doesn't help much either. It does seem to be more sensitive to dry conditions then my others. The leaves get brown all along the edges when it's really dry. It pups a lot like my Apples but doesn't grow quite as tall. I haven't tasted the fruit as of yet. My mother plant came from Sri Lanka. anyone know what the conditions are over there?

Mitchell - that is a long, long time waiting for those to get to harvest time - must be one of the longest do you think?

Yeah, a bit longer than usual. My reds tend to take a long time too but in general it takes right around 6 months in my yard for bananas to ripen.
