![]() Thanks gang & thanks again Mitchel. And I thought my # was too high! Am hoping you all can help me decide what to pick. I already have a Raja Puri (8 inches TC) and I'd like something that tastes good. I'm thinking of Misi Luki maybe.
I don't know much about them. What would y'all pick??? And why?

![]() Patty, maybe you could work out a deal with the folks that run those domes (unless you plan on building your own - LOL) and get a Hawaiian Apple Banana (a big "bad boy", as Mitchel calls them) and see if they'd work out a deal for you to come visit it for free. Just a thought.
Otherwise, you probably do want to go with something shorter and hardier like Misi Luki since you already have Raja Puri. I'd pick the Psiang Klotex, personally (my pup from Mitchel died due to either under or over-watering when I had it in my shop last winter crowded with about 20 others), but I've got a tall greenhouse and milder winters than you. Good luck with whatever you chose! |

![]() The Domes might charge me rent for taking in a nana LOL.
The name "Hawaiian Apple" sounds good. How do they taste? big "bad boys" don't scare me ![]() My sunroom has 12 1/2 ft ceiling so I'm not worried there. Which ones fruit fastest? Hey, I could have a apple banana and a banana apple tree growing next to each other LOL.

![]() Patty, my greenhouse is 16' tall in the center and still not nearly tall enough. You've got to leave room for leaves!

![]() Thanks Harvey
Is the PK real tall? I think I might pick that. But then what about Misi Luki? Is that good tasting? (You should see me in a restaurant trying to pick something off the menu LOL)

![]() The wiki shows the PK to be shorter than Misi Luki but you better wait for Mitchel to answer more precisely. Both are considered to be great tasting, though I don't remember if I've tasted either (yet).

![]() As I said in the PM, I think you could grow the PK in your greenhouse, at least for the first year or 2 anyway. The Apples are way to tall! As for flavor the PK has been the best, but not the most consistent. The Apples have always been awesome even with frost damage.
I'm still waiting for my first Misi Luki flower, can hardly wait! Raja Puri is almost ready to ripen.....look out Taylor! |

![]() Mitchel, you've been very generous with this & other "contests", but I'm wondering if I send a couple bucks more, could I sample a raja puri & a PK nana? I could ripen them here. I never had anything but the chiquita in stores.
Mike has a 18-19ft ceiling in his L room. My IC is in there now. Or if anything, I could dig up & force them to sleep for winter.

![]() Mitchel, I meant if you could send a nana of each along with the pup. If they are still green I could let them ripen(?) You mentioned that those 2 are ripening. 'twas just a thought
![]() You & Harvey mentioned that my ceiling won't be high enough for winter growing... "Mike has a 18-19ft ceiling in his L room. My IC is in there now. Or if anything, I could dig up & force them to sleep for winter." Winter '07 - '08 I did Frank's method of putting the IC to sleep.

![]() I'm narrowing down to either Misi Luki or Pisang Klotek. I'll let you decide Mitchel since PK might be too big unless you cut it.
Still watching weather for temps above 35. Let me know how much for shipping & I'll send a check.

My Misi Luki that I got from Pitangadiego has yet to bloom and is currently at 9 feet of PS and 15 feet to the top leaf. Pitangadiego says 10-12 feet of PS for him so if that's true then the leaves will top out at 18-22 feet on this plant. Basically it's the same difference. Another thing to consider is that my first PK plant did not grow this tall. It seems that as the matt becomes more established they have grown taller. I have to wonder how tall the Misi Luki will get after a few more years of growth? I'll leave you to ponder that info. About the fruits, I went and looked at the Raja Puri today and they still need some plumping, but I'd be happy to send you some when they are ready though. The PK fruits won't be ready to pick green for another 4-5 months. Ok the ball is yours again! Lmk |
