Sorry, I was impatient. But I won't be here for 5 DAYS! So I won't see the winner (even though I realized my DO guess was extremely high IMO since my CG put out 22 fruits which is the hardy sport of DO possibly).

Both plants are still putting out hands. The contest is not over yet. I will not take any more guesses after the 3rd of August.

I will be out of town from the 1st 'til the evening of the 4th. I will accept any guesses posted before midnight of the 3rd.

Although they look similar, the CA Gold and Dwarf Orinoco do not perform the same in my yard (well, CAG is in back and DO up front). The Gold is much more cold hardy and started growing about a month sooner than the DO. The DO grows faster and pups more.

I planted a DO pup next to the Gold so I can see how they truly perform next to each other next year. When I get another pup from the CAG then I'll plant it out with the DO up front for a true side by side comparison in 2 locations to eliminate the differences being micro-climate/soil related.

I'm hoping to catalog some of the differences of the two for the Wiki. If I can get them to fruit simultaneously, it would help the comparison, but I may have to wait a couple years for that to happen.

By the way...the list is updated!
