Joorrrrddaaannn!?
Any progress reports? I'm getting a headache sending out those super, dooper, astoundingly powerful mental fruit-ripening rays! Soon to be followed up w/day after b-day headache (oh-me-oh-my ... maybe I shouldn't have taken the day off today!). |

Yes there is plenty of progress. The bananas have lost the angles and are now round. In a day or two I will put up a new picture. A tasting is just a few weeks ahead for those that have entered a try for the Ae Ae (on a Saturday or Sunday).

Cool! I'd sure like to make a trip, one of these days, to Florida - so many of the forums nana peeps are there, so it would be fascinating to make the rounds. And banana tasting would be on a par w/the wine tasting trips we have here, like Anna suggested above!
On an aside, do you have any favorite orchid sites or sellers that you recommend? (sorry for yelling up there ... I gots the house to myself for awhile & I'm feeling silly! LOL!) . |

I just posted today's picture of the nearly ripe Ae Ae. I think it will take two weeks for them to be table eating quality. You could make chips today.

Beautiful pictures!!!!! Another 2 weeks before the nanas are ready - getting awfully close to June 2. I had decided I was out of the running but now my hopes are raised.

Oh! it's a new picture all right and it does look like older posts. I can see that they are rounder and ready to be a green plantain. But it's not ready to be a table banana. Remember the contest was for the day the bananas were ripe to eat as a table banana.

I see now. If you go to the Ae Ae page you can see all the different pictures. It looks like they could turn yellow any day now!
