Bananas Brindando Apple Banana

Has anyone out there heard of an "apple banana" my wife has visited Hawaii a few times and said they were the best she's ever eaten. Apparently they were just for sale from a truck on the side of the road. Although I'm new to this site I've done a lot of reading and don't remember ever hearing of this one. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to Bananas.org!

Lots of Apple banana plants are available in Florida. They are called "Manzano". Try emailing Mediahound, or JeffreyP, or theWeBeBananas website.
