Default IN Zone 6, Would you seperate pups now ?

August 18th,

I'm in zone 6 so I have some time before my first frost. I have an Orinoco with 2 pups: One about 1.5ft and the other about 8 inches.

Would you separate them now or wait until Spring ?

Thanks

I think it depends upon what you plan to do with said pups. If you plan to pot them up and overwinter them indoors, you should be fine to go ahead a do this. If you are planning to replant them in the ground and protect them, I'd wait. Leave them with the mother plant and protect them all together this winter, then separate them as soon as you can next spring.
