Ha, I think the audio quality was pitched in favor of video quality. Good lord that is some crisp video, did you shoot this in 4k?!

That's about max on the dwarf variety, but it can get that tall. The tall types can get 18' overall and 13-14' to the growing point.

You are right. I may see if I can reup the audio track with it higher. The other video I posted seems to be at the correct volume.

Sorry I was asking if yours was a dwarf, mine are 12' at the trunk 20+ to top of leaves. How old it your mat?

Why would removing hands make them ripen more quickly? I've never heard that and I can't come up with any reason why it would have that impact. Namwah are always about 5 months for me.

They are not dwarf and will reach 18' or so overall, if i keep the mat thin and fed. They are two seasons old, but i've grown that type for 9 years.

If I let all 10 hands develop, I would be throwing away underdeveloped fruit around Thanksgiving. I would rather get 3-5 hands late in the season than none at all. If it were earlier in the year I would not prune them off. Your in Hawaii so I imagine you have bigger bunches that will take longer to fill in. 120 days is typical for me. A little less with 3-4 hands.
