YEEEE HAAAA!! Finally got them Planted!!
In the last week, I finally got all my Bananas planted (stored in my heated Bldg)...lost a bunch I bought on Ebay,but my ole dependable "Orinocos" came through!! I think I am going to change over to "Dwarf Orinocos" for the simple reason, they are easier to dig up and store them. My "Manzano" made it through the Winter, so hopefully I will have Bananas from it!!
I really think I will have several Bunches of Bananas this Summer!! I got my fingers crossed!! Good Luck to every one here!! Y'all will start to hear more of me now!!!  Frank from Alabama Last edited by Frankallen : 05-03-2007 at 05:06 AM. |

I’m tired just thinking about all the work you must have done. My bananas are still babies and in pots. I over wintered all of mine in pots in the house. I’m looking forward to getting them in the ground and them getting a little size on them. Not sure when I’ll ever get them planted as we are having a ton of rain and under flood watches. Would not want to try and dig anything out in the mud pit of a yard. Jane |

Good for you, Frank! I am planting mine out this weekend. Would've done it a couple of weeks ago, but too busy. I'm going to switch over to D.O. as well, and have already started doing so. Gotta keep a few of the Talls though, as they are so reliable. I should get several bunches this year also! Pics, please!
