Wow With Peat Moss
 

I bought 2 2.5 cubic yard bags or whatever :P to mix it in with top soil and the first mix which was like 3/4 top soil 1/4 moss.....wow i will never buy potting mix again :P what is your take on it....am i a newb for just finding this out or what :P

oh by the way i did it for some palm seedlings as many here have already seen some pics :P but if now well here ya go :D

That's a good mixture as long as the plants like acidic soil. Peat moss also retains water well, so be careful about over watering even when the very top of the soil appears dry.

Nothing better than making your own potting soil for cheap!
If your stoked on that stuff, try the cocco peat. It rehydrates better, and is neutral PH.
