![]() So it's supposed to hit the upper 20s next week strangely. I have what fast growing trees advertised as blue java/ice cream banana. It's around 10ft tall.
So I dug it up and brought it inside, where it will stay till spring. I want it to fruit next year so I didn't remove leaves or cut back at all. It was so tall that it isn't feasible to pot it. The corm is in several 30 gallon trash bags... Last year I had it potted and in soil. This year it was probably 200lbs, with all the soil knocked off i could manage. So it's got some soil but not a lot... So my question is what is the best way to take care of it til spring considering I want it to fruit next year? Do I need to try to add soil to the bag? How much to water and what kind of fertilizer will be ok to put on bare roots? |
