Default A winter in summer

One week ago-

This morning after 3.5 hours of snow, and hasn't stopped for a minute.

Tree's don't seem to handle this wet stuff, especially after the last couple weeks of rain.

Hope you guys in the east survive that heat wave. I'm getting the cross country ski's back out tommorrow since it's not supposed to stop snowing for another couple of days, and gonna get down to the 20's tonight!

On the topic, I'd rather be having the heat and smoke problems that we are having than that mess right there. Smoke is bad right now from NC forest fires, but I bet Carolina (the member) is getting it worse than I... and months of smoldering has been predicted, as it is only 20% contained (Great!)

Hope it all clears up for you Kyle. (After you get a good day of skiing!) How often is your last snow of the season normally?

Usually the last snow is in april or early may(but more of a last gasp, than like this), but this year it's been cold and rainy in may.
I've had family living in this area for the last 28 years, and the latest it's snowed in memory was June 7th about 11 years ago, and that was just a little dump, that didn't pile up or last. This is something else, and if it keeps this up it won't melt for quite a while(or heat up). This has been right up there with some of most snow in the shortest amount of time all year(winter season).

At this point I don't care I just want enough to go sking, after that if it gets hot we'll have floods big time.

I only have one large basjoo in the ground. It hasn't gotten down to 30F since I planted it about 3 weeks ago, but the basjoo is gonna get fried tonight even though it is sheltered by the roof line.

Last week it snowed in the Sierras and closed Tioga Pass road for a few days. At some locations snow can happen ... anytime!

Kyle,
Where are you located, again?

Except for a 75°F, 95°F, 85°F on Thur, Fri, and Sat 4 weeks ago, we are literally also back in our winter weather here in the Seattle area. Mornings are in the low 40°Fs, and highs in the mid 50s to 60s. And lots of RAIN!!!!!! forecast over the next 3 weeks.
