Wind resistance-need help

Hello my dear "nana" growers!
I need help with finding wind resistant banana spiciece. So if somebody have expirience with growing in "windy" conditions it would be nice to share with us a few informations here.
First that came to my mind is to prefer "Dwarf" spicies but my DC doesnt think so after last blow two days ago

. It is all mashed up now

Maybe some other spicie can take wind better?

Truly Tiny planted in the middle of some bushes

I'm afraid they will all do it especially the taller the species.

Sweetheart, Dwarf Namwah, and Dwarf Orinoco are robust plants with a large-diameter pseudo-stem at the base. Of course I feed my plants ... Info:Fertilizer - Bananas Wiki

Are you trying to avoid them having blown over, or avoiding ripped leaves?

Im trying to avoid leves beeng all ripped off (not stripped) and broken p-streams. In my opinion plants should have short petioles, wide pseudostreams and maybe narrow leaves. Maybe looking for too much?

There is one cultivar whose leaves supposedly do not rip in the wind, mine is fairly good sized now, but in a greenhouse so I havent been able to test this. The leaves are different from other Musa however, the laminas are completely flat (no ridges on the major veins or anything). It is called 'Enar' and is a diploid from Papua New Guinea. They don't feel any stronger, but they certainly are the only banana I have ever seen with this type of leaf and they may do better in the wind to some degree. Unfortunately this cultivar is not available on the market yet, so you'll have to just wait and hope one day it is.

Ante, although I can't remember such tornadoes in Makarska,

, the wind is seasonal problem here as well. None this year, firtunatelly, but shredded leaves will be an issue here soon... I've had my DC out for about 5 months (day night long) and yet it doesn't have shredded leaves (strongest winds of 50km/hod).
None of my nanas is damaged or with broken P-stems... What the heck? Were all yours potted or in the ground?

A good stout Chinese Yellow (Musella lasiocarpa) might do the trick.
