Will they survive with fruit?

I have two bananas I managed to keep alive during winter. Now after setting one leaf each I now see a flag leaf on both. Can they survive and produce the fruit with just one leaf plus the flag leaf? I sure hope so but I’d that likely?

They can or might. Other forum members have done it. I currently have an Orinoce bunch growing with just the flag leaf.

If they have a half grown up will that help?

I have a Blue Java and Dwarf Brazilian with fruit and one or two leaves. I think I will prune the bunches back to no more than two hands. Blue Java already has five hands of approximately 14 nanners per hand. Oh, well.
