76 inches to top of tallest leaf on main p-stem
3 waist high pups
2 brand new emerging pups.

In the ground, Central FL white sand with some peat added, planted this spring as a little sprout.

Photo coming as soon as I find the camera's cable...

Here you go.

This is part of my "red bed."
Bordelon behind Siam.
Firebush to left. Red pineapple in front of that.
Red sage to the right.
Firespike barely visible at right edge.

Here is it a month ago. Can see the Bordelon better.

And hmmm....some great pictures here, but I was guessing someone had one taller...seems like 6'8" is the winner for now!

WoW guys! thanks for all the nice responses! Great pics too!,i had to dig mine up today because were moving and hacked the leaves off ...it was sad but you know,got to cut leaves off to ensure survival! anyway,it was about 3 foot p-stem with a 1 and a half foot leaf so id say about 4 and 1/2 feet,we need to try to get this one to fruit y'alL! whosoever does will be famous! LOl

If I can remember to bring my camera to school someday, I'll take a picture of the 'Siam Ruby' bananas in the UT Gardens. One mat is definitely taller than I am (6'7"), probably close to 8 feet to the top of the leaves.

That'd be Super, Frank! Sounds like it might have a great chance of flowering before long, too! Ummm.... Think we may have just found the tallest Siam AND the tallest member!

Wow...seems like everyone has them, but they never seem to get very tall!!! Like dwarf banana status! Interesting! Hope we keep this thread going. How long have people had SR at the longest??? Just wondering how long it takes to flower/fruit (if it does!?).

Okay guys, real confusing. But both pics looked the same except the guy in the other pic. Did somebody paste a pic of another member on that photo? Heard of photoshop. Is that better than paint? Think i'll check it out, anyway.

The guy was cut out of another pic and added to the picture. Originally he was in a picture standing next to a very tall Saba. I can't seem to find the picture, but it's one of our more active members.

The post is titled " Who has the Biggest-Tallest siam ruby out there?"
I said "This guy"(as he had grown the biggest Saba), so I cut his photo from his famous Saba picture and put him under the Siam Ruby.

I was implying that he could probably grow a giant Siam Ruby, too.

Checked everywhere I could find. Still cant find Any Reports or Photos that show that Ruby Siams can make fruit. This could be a rare banana cultivar that reproduces Only by pupping. A gentic defect of some kind.

dosin't any one read my post! if you go to the wiki you will see that the SR was only discovered in 2005 and its never been reported to have fruited they like intense heat and humidity high amounts of sun light and good firt ever month of so they pup like crazy and thats pretty much all they do except look nice next to a guy standing by the biggest Saba iv ever seen LOL
