Re: What's blooming in your garden? (bananas)
Do they look fused together throughout the whole fruiting process? never saw a bunch at a young/juvenile stage before..

Re: What's blooming in your garden? (bananas)
Interesting. I purchased this one, like many from my collection, from Going Bananas in Homestead, FL. I guess people make mistakes sometimes but strange to think they mislabeled these. This is my first bunch from this plant, so I assumed that they fused later in the ripening process as they grew. The plant does meet the height and leaf description of Praying Hands. If experienced growers say they are directly fused from the initial bloom then perhaps I need to contact Going Bananas...Thank you for the input.

Cosmo, You welcome!....As Master Beam (beam2050) clarified, Musa Praying Hands will stay fused thru the whole fruiting process!....Even the male flowers are fused together!... I'm posting a couple of Musa Praying Hands pictures at the early stage of flowering/blooming!....You can see on the last picture that it started to open male flowers and they are fused together!..... Hopefully it helps!.....

Re: What's blooming in your garden? (bananas)
Dwarf Brazilian planted in July 2019. The plant was choked and could not push the flower so I had to do a bit of surgery. This is my first Dwarf Brazilian. I will probably prune off everything except for two hands. Very funny to have such a short plant with a flower after three seasons of giant namwas. Haha.
