![]() I've seen this happen to various plants, at least in my cases (with other varieties) it seems to have happened when the fruit was forming in slightly cooler temperatures, but nothing bad has ever come from it. Coloration like this comes and goes in plants with varying environmental conditions. As long as it growing, its nothing to inherently worry about. It will likely fade over the next few weeks to green.

![]() Yeah, they don't look rotted away or anything. I'd let it keep growing and maturing. I agree with Gabe that coloration can vary a lot even on the same plant depending on environmental conditions (heck, look at the differences in coloration on Siam Ruby grown indoors vs outdoors). Moisture, sunlight, temperatures, humidity, nutrient levels, etc all play a role in the growth of a plant and will affect its appearance. Best of luck!

![]() Thanks for the replies. Gabe I hope your right and your right on with the temp thing. It is still cold here by the beach and my two other bunches popped out in the summer. So it would make sense. I will keep taking care of it and hope for the best.
I was going to cut my other bunch down and give up on it a month back but you guys encouraged me and now they are the fattest little things and I'm so glad I didn't cut it. ![]() Jen |

![]() Good news Mitchel. Thanks for sharing that. I'm totally crossing my fingers. I was so sad when I saw them. I wait so long for a bloom and then so long for them to ripen. I felt I had lost one bunch already this season and to loose another before it even started was heartbreaking. I was so excited to finally have a bloom at the right time of year so it has all summer to ripen & mature. I really hope you are all right...you usually are I don't know why I doubt.
