In the last couple of days - an beautiful apple, and a pup I helped myself to for free - does anyone know what the free one could be from the fruit?
The fruit will never ripen on the plant because someone will cut them down while still very green. Guess I will have to wait for the pup to grow and fruit to find out. But I am so impatient!!!! |

Wish me good luck then.
Mine was a TC but has been growing out in the sun in a pot for many months now. We shall see! I like this thread because it helps document when I plant things, it'll be real handy to look back on in a few years or so. ![]() |

My Rose pups like crazy.
Ice cream was divided yesterday, planting new areas of the yard with it. Also divided a NO ID red banana, broke it off just above the corm but hope there is enough corm still attached to get it going. There was one root still on! Maybe it'll continue to grow up from the corm that broke off as well as grow new roots from the small amount that was still attached to the pup. It was about a 4' pup with a lot of green leaves, so let's see what happens. This ever happen to anyone here? Break off the pup at the base when trying to cut it off? It was a real bummer... I hope it survives. |

Separated a SDC pup from it's mom. It hurt me. Really. :-)
My friend has been wanting a House Banana plant, and picked this one out. So today - Earth Day- seemed the right time. |

I planted a dwarf chinese variety that I found growing between two portable buildings at a local elementary school. A nice healthy sword sucker.
The trunk is covered with dry, light tan skin and the fruit has the characteristic bottle-nosed tips. As my wife prefers the cavendish varieties, this will probably be her favorite.

Yes. Tall, skinny plants, very nice smaller fruit.
