Just got a Thai Black, Monkey Fingers and Lady Finger. Potting them on Sunday. Going to San Diego Saturday to visit Jon at Encanto Farms, Matt and Richard in San Diego and to pick-up another banana I bought a month ago in Trabuco Canyon, CA. Hope all of these bananas fit in my car!!!!!

I Planted 5 bananas in my grass and 1 canna, then the next day I had a bad thunderstorm with hail. All my plants survived they just have bruises and are all leaning now.
From the left Tall Brazilian, unknown, zembrina, orinco, unknown, yellow flower canna ![]() This is the next bunch of recruits to take on the Bermuda. Do you see how messed up my Siam ruby got, it never has done well with wind. ![]() planted 7/20 pic taken 7/23 it gets water from the ac all day ![]() 9/5 ![]() Chironex you are building a big collection, what are you doing with them this winter? |

Wow, I am so jealous of you zone niners. I'm already planning in my head where the potted pups are going since my house is already filled every fall/winter with tropicals. I also have to make sure my local garden center will have the hay or straw bales I'll need for mulching. This time of year is so bittersweet.
