A while back I read a paper that stated the lumps in Manzano fruit were caused by inadequate supply of water during the fruit filling stage.

The fruit of this bunch have been perfectly smooth, so I doubt that's true.

Hopefully when I harvest these Rhino Horns they'll average at least 3 lb. each. They're already 21"-22" in length.

Rose

The biggest bunch I've got from this variety, a whopping 10 pounds. The fingers averaged 30-40 grams. I'll still keep growing this variety because it makes a good screen between my house and my neighbor's, with its nice vertical growth habit, but I wouldn't grow it for the fruit production!

55 lb. isn't too shabby for a plantain.

9 hands of goldfinger. I don't know what I did different, but these fingers a super fat compared to my previous bunches. Peel is a lot thicker too.

Harvested the bottom few hands of a SH-3640, some fruit were over 12 oz., and they always have fused pedicels like in your photo. I've never seen a Goldfinger with fused pedicels, are all the hands fused?

Out of the varieties I've grown, they are my all around favorite. I posted a taste report awhile back for this variety. The more I eat them the more I like them. I need to wait a little bit to see if the larger size changes the taste experience.

If you have some time can you post some pictures of the Goldfinger bananas and SH-3640 bananas so a comparison can be done. A lot of the pictures that are posted show single bananas. It would be nice to have that information as a reference.
