![]() I planted banana plants in pots a month ago and some of the leaves are starting to get black brittle edges to them. I had one leave that went almost completely black that I cut off. Anybody have an idea what this could be from? Also with weather in the high 20's I am finding that the soil dries out really fast should I be watering daily when it gets that hot?

![]() This is a sign of overwatering. I would water half what you are now for a couple weeks and see how it does.

![]() I was watering about half as much and the leaves were going yellow and losing their green colour. With watering more the leaves are turning green again but half the black edges. Could it be that they need water every day since the soil is bone dry but im just giving too much each day?

![]() No I do not. I have 3 inches of pee gravel in the bottom of the pots. And the pits are sitting on gravel

![]() Plants in containers exhibit many negative symptoms. The leaf posted is an old leaf about to be dumped by the plant.
A new photo of the whole plant is a better snapshot of the plant. |

![]() sorry, had to ask. Is a simple mistake, along with the pots that have reservoirs at the bottom.
