Default What is this black stuff?

One of the leaves on my plant has developed these little black dots and it seems to have separated from the plant. Is this something to be concerned about? Should I cut the leaf off? Thanks!

Perfectly normal. I get that on my banana plants all the time.

Normal pigmentation of the pseudostem. Some plants have more, others have less. As long as it's not brown/squishy (rot) you've got nothing to worry about.

Separation of that piece is likely due to rapid growth of the plant. They do this sometimes when they are small and hit a growth spurt. Sometimes even split one of the outer layers open.
