Default What banana to plant?

Hello All,

I want to plant a few bananas and have no idea which one to choose.

I live in NW Dade County, FL and I would like to know if there is a banana that is more likely to produce fruit than others. Also, where to get plants? I see them in the big box stores but several people I know have them and no luck on fruit.

Thanks,
Shawn

There are all kind of members here that sell, trade bananas kinda late in the season but if you ask i'm sure you will get offers in a timely matter.
as far as which ones to plant the choice is yours since you live where you can plant all the bananas you care to eat and do not have to worry about freeze killing them. some good ones I like dwarf namwah, manzano, mona lisa,
blue java really depends on your taste preference. good luck and enjoy.
