Well drained soil

So i have a lot of slate and white decorative rock.I also have small pebble broken up concrete. I think old concrete might be bad? or should i use some play sand? I am also going to amend with compost.

I would use perlite. Sand can make the soil worse depending on your current soil composition. I doubt broken up cement would help at all. I would think that it would raise the pH of your soil as well (the fine powder).

I don't know what your white rock is, but a lot of it, around here, is limestone and, also raises the pH.
