Default Watching a banana grow.

A new leaf is formed on Musa basjoo. It starts with a little threadlike squiggle.(arrow) Picture taken on July 1, 2007.

July 9. Another little squiggle appears, starting the process over again.

A 50 inch (1.3m.) leaf in 8 days!
