I have been making improvements to my growroom, which is a converted 2 car garage. This will be the third season that I have been using this space. Before that I had a space setup in the unfinished section of the basement(which is the laundry room). The problem is the furnace is located there along with a vent. It would stay too warm there and i was always fighting white flies or spidermites on my brug and plumeria. When I moved to the garage it stayed cool enough that the spidermites and whiteflies can't reproduce and get out of control. The grow chamber that I have built across the rear of the room with be used to grow seedlings and other young plants. It wil be covered with plastic sheeting like a greenhouse. only the sides are covered right now because I have been finishing the internal structure and I need to put insulation in the walls before covering it with reflective film.
![]() The top height is about 18 inches and will house the lighting, heating and cooling system that I have designed, and a irrigation system below the lighting. The lower front will have two doors that will raise for access. Here are some of the other plants that are hanging out for the winter These are the youngster (Richard these are the bananas from this month) ![]() and these are the rest of the stock ![]() ![]() ![]() This has been such a labor of love for me, I have enjoyed designing it and already have plans on building a second unit that is only 12 feet by 4 feet. The one picture here is 16 feet long with four feet of it as computer space. Sorry about the large picture I have no idea how to edit them (but willing to learn if some cares to share) Michael

The lawnmowers stay outside. I have too many plants that can't survive outside. I have quite a few Brugs that i am wanting to sell off. I have just a couple that I wish to keep, mostly doubles and my hybrid crosses that I want to see how they develope (I may have a prize plant). I want to put up a 14x24 or a 16x24 greenhouse along side of the house where the plants have spent the last several years.

Dang! So many nice plants! You really have quite the collection! Looks like the grow-room is working out wonderfully! I'm sure when those naners get bigger, you will need more space, though! EEK! Thanks for sharing the pics. Oh, and if you upload them to the site (click on 'photo gallery' in the blue stripe near the top and then select 'upload photos') it will automatically resize them for you to fit more effectively on the site.

Thanks for the info, I had no idea. I have been loading them to my server and then using the insert image button. All of the bananas that you see I sell here locally and via my website. I decided to make my favorite pass time a business, so now I operate a commercial class A nursery. The USDA inspects me, and I ship across the US. I started in 2005 an am self taught, I read and observe and experiment. I sell only top quality plants, and I'm on the watchdog at Daves Garden so that customers can tell of their experiences. Thanks for the comments.
