Velutina eating machine

This crazy fuzzy beetle has been chompin on my M. Velutinas and leaves all the other naners alone. Anyone familiar with these ? Any advice on control .
I try not to use pesticides because of all the frogs , lizards , skinks, geko .....
The soap has no efect on this bruiser.

Here's a remedy I recommend for this little bug: Place between forefinger and thumb and apply pressure until you hear an audible squishing sound, and feel the exoskeleton being crushed. Another good method: Place said bug on a hard surface (driveway, sidewalk, etc.), and using one of your feet with appropriate footwear, stomp it with force. Repeat as necessary. Hope this helps!

Before entering the house clear the underside of your shoes. Or for method 1 wash your hands properly.

Thanks you guys, I meant to ask what means I could use to keep populations down without using a lot of pesticides . Fortunately , this was the only one and your method worked like a charm .

The thing is ,and I know its probably just a coincidence , this was the only Velutina that bloomed for me . This one out of a zillion Velutinas ! If you look in my pic you can still see the damaged leaf edges left by this crazy , fuzzy monster .

Now , I'm not saying that fuzzy beetle saliva is a bloom catalyst . I just mean that there is a lot out there that we don't understand yet and I'm gettin more beetles . :2141:

May I suggest a blowtorch, of the Propane or MAPP variety.

Napalm might work.

Are M Veluntina particularly tasty to insects, because one of mine got badly chewed by green crickets year before last?
