Default Variegation in Thai black

When I received this plant from Hirt's Garden (ebay) I noticed that it had patches of streaky yellow in the leaves. I figured that it would grow out of it, but here we are at the end of summer and 9 ft+ plant and the streaks are still there.

Does anyone with Thai balck see this? And, no, it is not a fertilizer/mineral deficniency issue.

Mona Lisa does that, also, and it always looked like nutrient deficiency, but it wasn't.

Interesting! My Thai Blacks all have plain green leaves. But, yesterday I was looking at my variegated Thai plant and the pseudostem looked a lot like the Thai Black and I wondered if they were related.
Sorry, I don't remember the name of the Thai variegated, came from ebay and was M... gluck kai??? It's definitely not an Ae Ae type of variegation.

Thanks guys.

It does look like that mona lisa variegation. Interesting, but not what you'd call pretty. My plant has 2 pups now, and I don't see it with them - yet.

The variegated 'Thai Black' looks like a TC sport type of variegation. Its rare to find one, but a rather common mutation overall.
