I know it’s technically still too small to plant, but wanted to get junior here in the ground.

Interesting! While I do direct compost to my bananas, are you concerned those pumpkins breaking down will tie up nitrogen in the soil? Love to see unorthodox planting methods! keep the updates coming!

Update: my praying hands received a HUGE setback. (I hear you sniggering, Valor_X :ha:) it wasn't planted too early, but all the organic matter came back and hit me in the behind. I accidentally created a hot compost pile lol:ha::ha::ha:. :08::discocrazed::mad::eek::( I noticed it wasn't growing so I pulled it out. All the roots :ha: were cooked:ha: beyond repair:08:. So I potted it up and it is in the process of healing:nanadrink:. :08:

My Praying Hands pup took a long time to start recovering (over a month) but it's starting to grow now coming out nice and green :08:

The weirdest thing happened, as you can see in the picture...
Initially a cigar leaf was coming out 2 weeks ago and then stopped.

Now it pushed out a new green cigar leaf and is starting to grow vigorously and it looks fat :)

Maybe it was choked? Who knows
Either way... I got some catching up to do and looks like it'll be smooth sailing from here!

I recommend some worm-compost tea for the watering. Supposed to maximize nutrient uptake.
