Beautiful! The bunch will ripen at anytime after it is cut, the fruit looks pretty much fully formed so you can cut the bunch whenever you please and hang it up to ripen.

thanks for all the replies.I guess I will cut the bunch a couple days after New years.This is my first Ele Ele bunch and I don't know if I should eat them ripe or use fried (tostones)etc....What should I do?

Well, you have enough to do both. If it were me, I'd wait for one of the fruits to turn some color before cutting the bunch down. That way you get the most of the flavor in the fruits without the skin bursting. The lowest bunch will ripen last. So you can even wait for the the top hands to ripen and eat it fresh, while cooking the lower bunches of fruits. Just don't separate the fingers from the hand, or better yet, don't separate the hands from the bunch, until you decide you want them to ripen faster.

How did this work out? Mine have about a month to go(if we don't get a frost).

How did they taste 'out of hand'?
How did they taste cooked?
How were they cooked(favorite methods)?
