thought you would have cut the pups and killed them. but really it dos not matter the corm has to start from the ground up anyways.

Master Beam,

It’s all good!.....The nub/pup is growing fast, in an amazing pace!....You are right!....As long I get a nice size Dwarf Red plant from the corm or the nub/pup that is what it’s important!.....

Than nub should grow very quickly, especially with all that energy coming from the large corm, luckily for you the plant will be transplanted into the ground, it would be bit of a dilemma, for someone keeping it in a pot as the new pup is growing at the edge of the pot and would need repotting again.

Musa Dwarf Red is a very beautiful banana, with eye catching red p-stem.

Mushtaq,

You are right!....She better be transplant it to the ground, otherwise she will break the pot!..........She said "no dilemma at all!"....."I will break your pot!"...….

Joking aside, seems Dwarf Red is a beast grower!....As you mentioned, a very beautiful Nana Variety!.....Hopefully she is ready to be transplant to the ground coming spring time!....

Hey Hector! Happy New Year!

What's the status of your Patupi?? I would expected a flower by now. I didn't see anything on your flikr account.

My patupi had its leaves burned off in our November freeze but it didn't die back and has one unrolled cigar with green inside. Its 7' and stalled but still alive.

I have grown a lot of banana corms over the years, but this must the first time, i have seen a corm put its energy into a new pup, then start to regrow from the original corm, regarding Dwarf Red.
