Musa Dwarf Gros Michel Highgate keeps pushing out the new cigar leaf!....She keeps growing nicely!....I can't wait to transplant her to the ground!....

Pictures from 10/05/2019.....

Musa Patupi (Kokopo, Vudu Papua) Mat #1 keeps growing nicely!.....She should be flowering soon!.....Up front, the beautiful AeAe Manini started to pick up the growing pace!....

Hey Hector thanks for the update!

Are there two patupis in that photo? Looks like the main plant plus a plant/pup 3/4 the size of the main plant directly behind. I noticed it in an earlier photo you posted but thought it was a mirage.

Thanks again!

Donald,

I told you that you got a good eye!.....LOL!..........Yes!.....As you mentioned, there is another Musa Patupi approx. 3/4 the size of the main Patupi plant!....She has been growing in a close rate to the main plant!....Most likely she will flowers/blooms very close after the main Patupi plant does!.....

Just a thought- maybe you could contribute to the wiki and put pictures of the tu Ghia and other varieties. Since I thecked last the only picture of tu Ghia is a big, massive, tissue culture.

This is what happened to my Tissue Cultured FHIA-2 Mona Lisa plant!....She just flowered not even at 5 ft. tall!....Normal (Real) FHIA-2 Mona Lisa flowers, blooms approx. 8-9 ft. tall!.....She has been growing on the same environment conditions as my other Nanas!.....Also, she took almost 2 1/2 years to flower!.....

Pictures from 10/22/2019.....

Wooohooo!.....Finally!....I received a big FHIA-2 Mona Lisa corm from Dan (bananimal)!.....Thank you Dan for sending me a nice size Mona Lisa corm!.....Look at that color!....No doubts it's the real thing!....FHIA-2 Mona Lisa corm took a bath of water with bleach, then it was transplanted to a pot using pool filter coarse sand and lots of perlite mix as medium....Once she opens at least 4 new leaves, she will replace The TC FHIA-2 Mona Lisa for sure!.....

Pictures from 10/25/2019.....

Yeehaaaa!.......Seems she started to push out already!.....

Picture from 10/26/2019.....

Musa Monthan is flowering again!....So far she has opened a 13 hands bunch, as the previous one!......This is the third Monthan generation!....This is not a coincidence!.......What a productive Nana Variety!.....Amazing!......

Pictures from 10/26/2019.....

So are you going to leave the fake Mona Lisa in to ripen the fruit? Or are you going to obliterate it?!?

Master Beam,

Monthan is an awesome, amazing Nana producer!....Once it gets established, it will start producing big, heavy bunches!....

Send me a PM about the coarse sand!....I’m interested!....Mines comes in a white clear bag that you can see thru too!....I think it might be the same that I’m using!....

Joe,

As I mentioned, I will wait for the FHIA-2 Mona Lisa to opens at least 4 new leaves before she replace the Tissue Cultured FHIA-2 Mona Lisa!...My main priority is to get the Real FHIA-2 Mona Lisa to the ground as soon as possible!...Also, I observed that the Real FHIA-2 Mona Lisa is growing way faster than the TC FHIA-2 Mona Lisa!....It’s not going to take long!.....

Hector, I always love watching the progress of your banana plants. If it weren't for the weight, I'd 100% use your silica and pearlite combo for soil medium.

Let's get an update again soon please! Especially when it's winter here.. at least I can watch someone else's grow while mine are sleeping!
