[quote=HMelendez;321408]Thank you Master Beam!.....I love plantains!.....I love them as tostones (patacones), maduros, mofongo, boiled, etc!......

I love plantains too. We have a Bravo sprmkt now and you can get all you want. But in the frozen foods section you will find bags of half step plantains - tostones. They fry them once to soften then smash. At home you pop them in hot oil and wha - la! Tostones for dinner. Super convenient and absolutely delicious!!!

Couple of steaks on the Weber grill and a berros salad and you have a great easy to prepare dinner!!!

Hector,

Noticed tape around the bottoms of those containers.
Is the tape to keep the ants out?

I think the tape is to keep the pots from exploding due to the plants insanely fast growth!!

Nah it’s to keep the sand in the pot. I go back and forth. I sometimes use tape. Other times use gravel. And often use little patches of peat or coco.

Amazing bro! Such a good job caring for the rare Senorita! I can’t wait to see how this one grows!

Mike,

Finally somebody noticed it!.....LOL!.....As my bro Ty mentioned, the tape is to keep the sand in the pot!....The draining holes that the pots are coming, they are too big!.....So I use tape around the pot a couple of times and so far works very good!.....

Great to see TC seedlings are outside now, they are looking great, just be careful that the small green house is wind proof and you have lots of weight on it , even though I can see you have fastened it to the fence.

Getting back to keeping the sand/soil in the pots --- I have always used plastic winddow screening. Cut strips wide enough to cover the holes and long enough to reach both sides of the pot. Four holes = 2 strips and wallah!
