What colour is the stem of your identified banana?Is the stem all light in colour or is it light and darker in patches.
Have you got a good pic of the stem?

Thanks for the compliment Veronica!! I don't have a closeup pic but the p-stem is light green with brown/black patches in the areas where the leaf stems attach.

It could be a Gold Finger but the leaves are a bit too narrow.
