I have a large bunch of green bananas, but the bottom ones are not growing. and appear to be dying. Should I cut the entire bunch down and let it rippen in my garage??

Re: undeveloped bananas
I think you are describing male flowers. That is totally normal if that’s what it is. A big bunch of bananas says your banana tree is healthy. Nothing to worry about. Wait till some of the bananas start to turn yellow to harvest.
Below the bunch of bananas, you can see some male flowers always stay on. |

Re: undeveloped bananas
You can cut the flower off when the stem is 12" below the last full bunch. Don't have to, but you can. Leaving less stem could allow the stem to dessicate up into the actual bunch

Re: undeveloped bananas
The smaller ones are the male's, cut them off, they will fall off eventually anyway.
