Two Year Update!
Well, 1 and 1/2 year update... I just wanted to post some pictures to show how everything can change so quickly. First picture of a comparison is from Spring 2008, then the second picture is from July/August 2009. I have really developed as a person and also as a gardener in my ideas and gained so much knowledge over my stay thanks to the great people here on Bananas.org and many elsewhere. It is truly a never-ending project. Enjoy!
           Here is the evolution of the "Mini-Garden": 2006 2007 2009  After some trouble with my M. basjoo and M. 'Raja puri' which didn't return this spring, I have changed up the back bed some. Here is a newly planted Dwarf Orinoco...  And here is my new M. basjoo, thankfully is doesn't burn like my other one did (picture from a week or so ago)...  Hopefully I can come up with more comparisons to post here from other areas of the yard.  Last edited by Taylor : 08-16-2009 at 12:01 PM. |

Taylor I'm so impressed... you just don't know!! Did you put a heater in that green house?
Congrats! Deb BTW .. the stuttgart you sent me last year has gotten a little sunburned but that has stopped now and it's spreading nicely. It only gets direct sun in the morning. One of my favorite plants. Thanks again!

Looks nice, the mini garden transformation is amazing. I see the snow causes water to sit on your yard when it melts. My yard in Lex.,KY use to do that as the snow melted.

I can tell you some about the greenhouse , I have one just like it. It is a Harbor Freight 10x12 cost around $800. |
