Two leaves?

I recently put my Orinoco's in the ground that were wintered under the house. They are in a pure compost bed that's packed with nutrients. They get plenty of sun but it's been awfully cool this spring. They began putting out a leaf but then paused as the temps went up and down, as they do here. The first leaf is not fully unraveled and another is trying to come out. I had this happen before but can't remember what I did or if I did anything at all. Some times they get a lil bound up when you winter them as I did. Any body else run into this? I'm pretty sure it's from stress. What do you think?---Nate:dancinpup:

Re: Two leaves?

It's normal, sometimes an onslaught of fertilizer will cause this.
More common in a newly planted banana than on an existing, aged mat.
Sometimes I tear a leaf to allow it to unravel and catch the sunlight a bit better.
No need to really do anything, it will eventually correct itself and get acquainted to the new location, elements, food & water...
