Probably won't happen in my lifetime and, since just about everyone in FL ends up with a DC for their 1st foray into musas and they pup like crazy, it's safe to say they won't disappear completely. Not in my lifetime.

That story has gone around ~5 years ago and it still has not happened. It is a hoax!

The plantations are far too spread out. If a fungus should wipe out the crop in a single region,
others will fill the gap and the affected region will, as Kat pointed out, soon be restored to
productivity after a period of quarantine
