totally weireded out by weather

Hi there: Well, it has been in the 70's here in Va. On some of the dry days I did take the tarps off of my grove, but with all the rain and the forecast of below freezing temps at night, it is really confusing as to what is the best policy. Since this is the first year that it has been this crazy and with all the tampering of the weather by Nasa and the rest of the world, we are in for doosies. At least I don't live in the tornado ridden areas of this country so far.
Now, I have about a dozen of the banana trees I extracted early in the fall that were planted in pots..My question is what is everyone using for a good indoor fertilizer for the young plants trying to adjust to their pots. I realize in colder temps less water is needed.........
Hope all is well for other growers out there during these strange and unpredictable times

If the plant is not growing(from shock, being transplanted ) they don't need fertilizer. After the plant really gets going, use fertilizer sparingly. Not to much, not to often. If the plants are only in the pots for the winter months, then going back in the ground in the spring. I wouldn't fertilize at all. No reason to shock them again.
