![]() I had a soil test done last week that showed low nitrogen and high PH (7.3). I put some coffee grinds and cottonseed meal down and watered in. I also gave it a little ammonium sulfate in the water for a quick boost. They also received a light foliar feeding also.
![]() Thanks for the help Larry To update, the joke might be on me because the plants are looking a deeper green as the day goes on, and they have a much more proud posture. One of the new leaves is greening up faster than usual. I am a newbie and maybe I don't yet know what a screaming happy plant looks like. Lets see what tomorrow will bring, here's hoping. update 2, They look better by the minute so i can only laugh at my overreaction. Last edited by hanabananaman : 08-02-2012 at 07:50 PM. ![]() I have yet to over fertilize a banana despite trying.
potassium sulfate will also help lower your ph and really get them moving
