Default Texas garden is coming along!!

Good morning fellow org. friends, it's time to get thing things planted! here is what i have been working on for the last 3 weekends.. Pulling everything out of the garage and greenhouse and getting things planted, finally all in!!!

It has been a chore to say the least since i work full time i have my weekends only. The gardens are coming along nicely but still have some to go so here's what i have so far!! Updates upon completion of beds and gardens.
I sure do enjoy the fruits of my labor, lol!

As you can see i have added 2 new types this year thanks to a good friend of mine, introducing High Noon and Williams varieties for this year, thanks Hector i love them and cant wait to see them produce!!!!!!

Happy growing all,

Darla

Love the ID placards for your plants. Imclumbi does that too. Great idea when you have so many Musa to juggle!

Thanks, I need all the help I can get remembering who is what. Back when I was in my 20's long time ago I was a member of the rose society and grew over 100 varieties of Rose's and did competition showing, learned a lot. I took the ID name tags from that.

It's a work in progress, but we all go threw it, besides it makes me happy and as summer approaches I will have the tropics in my own back yard!!

Looks like after careful placement I might just have room for a couple more this year, hmmmm what will I get??? Guess time will tell!

Happy growing all,

Darla

Looking really great. The only variety I currently have is a supposed blue java that was purchased at Maas nursery, time will tell. How did you begin to source different varieties to add to the collection? Aside from just networking and sourcing from others on the forums who locally Houston area is a reputable source?

Welcome to the org. Sad to say to date I have found no reputable places in Houston. All my stock other that a few from an extension sale a while back I have gotten all mine for fellow org members.
Good luck in your search.
