That movement won't last long. A small section in the center may rise to 1/2 inch, but then
stop. But given some time, there will be 1 or 2 pups emerging, which will then take possession
of the corm.

Good luck,
Olaf

Good luck, Olaf
Believe it or not this corm will grow from center, I've seen more than once. Could be the difference in weather. If this corm was going to just pup the center don't rise.. I've seen it both ways many times, and I'm one for one w/ this type so far, and most recently so pretty sure we shall see continued progress.. :^)

Well, Migael, rake it up, not to my being wrong
(God forbid!), but to your superior gardening skills.

Gratulations,
Olaf

They grow well in the spring, summer & Fall, but winter they have to come in.. Next year they should be big enough to do something.. So we'll see.. :^)

Ahh... Okay. Well, I have one in the ground for the last couple of years but the winters have been mild. I am wondering if I should try my other varieties in the spring or just pot them. Anyway, thank you for your input and good luck with your rebirth!

I've enjoyed following the story but am confused. Was that a P-stem that rotted and got cut back? Or one that bloomed and rose again? Is there a link to the history? I ask because I cut off a pup that was wounded and soft; made my cut about 1" above the soil. (She had sprouted another pup that's doing fine.)
