Default Strange velutina

Have any of you seen a velutina bud leave the p-stem and lay over in this manner? The petioles are very pink on every leaf too. Could this have something to do with the coffee grounds and hay I've added?.....I put it on thick.

Despite this hand, there were still two green leaved bracts (flag) to emerge.
This thing has a "Benjamin Buttons" thing going on.
There's fruit in the two pics above the last.

That is a bit odd, if it does it again the next couple times around I'd call it a sport. I've seen them have a bent peduncle before, but never the first hand at a transition bract.

That's interesting, Pete. I noticed the same thing that Matt did. The flower looks larger than what we normally see. I'd say it's at least 3" longer than mine that just flowered.

Question guys I just bought one of these guys and its four foot tall. It has a blower bud on it and wondered if I would get any banana's? If the plant flowers you always get banana's right? Its living in a pot right now and not sure if I should give it some feed at all? Who knows last time it ever was feed since it just came off the truck at the greenhouse the other day. Thanks.
