I have just received a nicely looking california gold corm from Richard (props!
) and I am now thinking if I should store it until spring. I have read some of this mighty good thread: Time to put the bananas to sleep for the Winter but I'm not sure if this is the right way making it survive the winter. My basement has a temperature of 15-17C (apprx. 59-63F) and I'm wondering if this is too warm for the corm. Or is it just better to plant it in a pot straight away? I just want the best for the plant ![]()

I would plant it in a pot and keep it as a house plant rather than attempting to store it.

Even though it isn't more than 8 hours of light/day and no direct sunlight?

Yes, I'd agree with Gabe, keep it growing, warm and safe.
If possible a little bottom heat would be good. maybe a reptile mat.
