I'm in the same boat as you. Sort of a bummer, huh? Like you said, at least you can cook some of them maybe.

Maybe an impromptu greenhouse over one of them, and let them ripen?

. its after 09:00 pm @ 83 degrees (according to digital thermometer) as im posting this.
maybe i will get lucky and get them to grow good until first frost... then i can hang em in the house.

later i will think about the mini plastic greenhouse trick. i should have done this before i went out to TX after hurricane Ike. and then had someone uncover them for me.

in Georgia that year we had a frost hard enough do knock my plants into dormancy then warm weather again.. when i returned i was looking at other peoples bananas green and still growing because they were next to houses or near trees.

if i try anything with plastic now the plants and fruit will fry. days and nights are not cool enough yet.

here is the latest update to the gran nains.. yes they seem to be authentic gran nain bananas.. look at how the male flowers are falling . there are no persistent flowers anywhere in between the hands and the terminal bud...well none that wont naturally fall free.
here is gran nain #2 right behind the leader trying to play catch up
