![]() Spring is here again! One more night near freezing then back to the 70s! It was a pretty hard winter here. It got down to 26-28 degrees F. There was damage on some palms and bananas were hit pretty hard. Cannas and Hibiscus have already started doing well, so hopefully the bananas are next

![]() Last night was 30 and at least that tonight. Sucks considering the last day of frost is Feb 10 historically. (records are around 32F)
Oh well! This was a very long winter... About twice as long as average because of the early start / late finish

![]() I cant say spring is here yet in NYC, but the weather isnt too bad. Today was just slightly below average and it got to about 45F. Yesterday was very rainy and temperatures got up to 60F! Tomorrow looks cold, but monday has a chance for rain and thunderstorms with a high temperature in the mid 50s, maybe approaching 60F again! Low 40s for highs follow that but then some 50s and upper 40s. Only 2 nights will be below freezing. Not too bad!

![]() The official Las Vegas temps are from the airport. The strip is usually warmer than what is posted on national weather maps. There are ficus trees planted on the strip that have no damage over the winter. My area is about 300 feet below the strip and usually has the warmest temps in the valley (other than the strip). Although the lowest temp recorded at the airport was 26, I doubt the strip saw anything below 30F. My thermometer got down to 28F.
