SoCal Local Nurseries
Well just got bit by the banana bug and I'm hooked. My question for all you SoCal banana growers, do you have any favorite nurseries you guys get your banana plants from? I'm down in Oceanside and we have one out here that carries alot of different varieties of bananas.

Re: SoCal Local Nurseries
I have several small nurseries, some Asian nurseries, and some cool tropical places too. If anyone needs the info for them just let me know. I'm in West Los Angeles just a few blocks north of Culver City.

Re: SoCal Local Nurseries
I get most of my plants on eBay since I can't find a local nursery with more than one or two varieties. I need to replace several this year because of my "mystery critter" that downed some of mine last year. :( There is one nursery off of the 15 in Corona that I haven't checked out yet that is supposed to carry rare and exotic plants. I'll try and get over there and check it out.

Re: SoCal Local Nurseries
My favorite nursery is ME. I am growing about 80 varieties, and sell a couple times a month at the La Mesa Farmer's Market.

Anna,
I sold plants at the Encinitas Garden Festival and La Mesa Farmer's market this last week. Only had 5 kinds for sampling, but we managed to suffer through it!! |
Re: SoCal Local Nurseries
