All of my SR pups have been green at first, for a month or so, and then gradually turn red. I think they have to build up some energy before they change over to the red coloration.

I must be the only person not to have a single pup on his plant.

I bought a nice 50/50 version in a 1 gallon pot from Stokes maybe 6-8 weeks ago and it put out a pup a couple of weeks ago. It is solid gree for now. So far, the mother plant is putting out a new leaf about every two weeks (it's indoors under light most of the time) and most have a nice color pattern. A couple of weeks ago all of these holes started showing up in the new leaves and then I finally found the hungry caterpillar and squished him. I can't believe how disfigured this little guy/gal made my plant. I think I'll dust it with Bt in case there are more.

Four pups on mine... all red with green speckles and strange patterns, just like momma.

My SR has two pups. They sound exactly like Jarred's. I purchased my plant from Plant Delights back in Aug. It has grown well (potted) and I have been very happy with it! It will soon be time to bring it in for the winter though. I will probably bring it in around Thanksgiving to be safe.

Hey, wait a minute! I think I've been ripped off because I haven't been hearing any sounds from my SR? What do they sound like????
Okay, I'm just picky with "goofy" words! No offense intended. |
