SH 3640 growing but not increasing height

Something is wrong with my SH 3640 plant. It is growing new leaves but the stem is not getting taller. I suspect black head rot disease the same disease that killed my other banana plants. My fear is it may eventually spread to central America and wipe out banana production.

Please post a couple of pictures of you plant.

Sounds like nematodes or stem borers... both cause what I call the "umbrella effect" where the leaves keep coming out but the Pseudostem never gets any taller... Dig it up and closely inspect the corm. Cut off rotten parts. Dip in bleach water and replant in coarse sand. Use some Mykos on the roots when planting to help protect roots.
Stem borers cause the stem to be surrounded in the dead leaves whereas the nematodes leave the PS looking normal but the growth is stunted in much the same way.
Pics would help.

I also agree with Steven (sputinc7)!.....

Even we got some type of sandy soil in Florida, I suggest to plant your Nanas to the ground using coarse sand or any combination of soilless mix (using rice hulls, coarse sand, sphagnum peat moss, perlite and biochar-crush wood charcoal)!.....I planted all my Nanas to the ground using pool filter silica (round grit) coarse sand!......So far has been working flawlessly in my Nanas!.....

Hopefully it helps!....
