![]() the second leaf on this nanner is spireled the first leaf was roled and compact. the top of the plant was cut of when i got it and the first leaf was already growing so i dont know how it started. is this the way all leaves will start or is it a flag leaf or what. also on a secont nanner plant the first leaf is now about a foot long when i moved them in side due to a cold night the leaf started to unroll but know it is turning white no brown thou dont know if that is bad.
Banana Gallery - second leaf any advice p.s. I had a bad ant problem in the pots so i put some ant killer on and watered it in. the soil is moist. |

![]() That 2nd leaf looks like it's in a hurry to come up! Are you giving it fertilizer? Only thing I can think of for the white leaf is maybe not enough sun.
There are more qualified people here to answer.

![]() Sorry Hawkhunter, I don't know why the leaf is white. Happened to me once but never knew why. Hope someone who knows jumps in.
The other curled & 'spiraled' leaves should be OK, as long as they are still growing. I guess you won't know if it's a flag leaf till it unfurls. Let us know!

![]() I'll call it premature....leafation....Lack of light...so lack of chloryphil(spelling)production and the conditions not yet ready for nutrient uptake from the plant.
The poblem should work itself out as the light, temp improves....maybe a low release fert might help to get it going.......or maybe its an albino..check its eyes ![]() |
